After growing in Ponte Vedra, Florida, and playing football during my last two years of high school, I won an athletic scholarship to Charleston Southern University, where I majored in economics with a minor in business.
I was recruited to play football as a “Grey Shirt” freshman, which postpones enrollment by a semester. Enrolling in college in the spring of 2008, as opposed to fall of 2007, influenced my decision to study economics. Markets were reeling from the fallout from the mortgage bubble, and I was curious to find out what all the buzz was about.
After graduating with a B.S. degree in 2013, I began a tutoring business, teaching mathematics and standardized test preparation courses for exams including the SAT, ACT and GRE. When I moved into this area, Lee County was in desperate need of math teachers, and I took a job teaching Algebra 2 Honors at Cape Coral High School. After a couple years in the area, I had developed new relationships, and was looking to get out of the field of education.
As a coach, I have been around good teams and bad teams. When I started working with the Landsberg Bennett team, it was apparent that they are better than good, and they are dedicated to helping me become great.
Outside of the office, I like to coach football and play guitar. On the weekends, I am usually either hanging out at home with our dogs Sadie and Poptart or roaming around Disney with my wife Kaitlin.
